MITROVICA; CHRONICLE OF A DEATH FORETOLD? (2003)
The film's opening challenges assumptions about ethnic divisions in Mitrovica in northern Kosovo. It features three boys, Serbian and Albanian, using each others' languages to describe their home city. The film stimulated discussions that might otherwise not have happened on the city's future at a major conference; the boys helped break the ice.....
ABOUT OUR FIRST FILMS
The idea for Reconciliation through Film came from two documentaries made in 2002-3 for the thinktank, European Stability Initiative (ESI). They showed the potential of film to change minds when the intended impact is planned from the start. While they may look a little dated now, they gave us the kernel of the idea.

BOSNIAN STORY (2002)
The closing sequence set in a bar in Novi Travnik, an industrial town now without jobs. Young people say that their only hope for the future is to leave. Their despair shocked some local politicians when they saw it.
